About Charlie

Charlie is a Project Manager here at Invevo, recently joining the squad in April and works alongside our key clients.

His role orientates around the operation and logistic management of Projects to ensure successful implementations whilst also refining Project Processes.

"I jumped at the opportunity to grow and develop within such a innovative and dynamic company, and the team at Invevo's culture and sense of community have made me instantly feeling part of the family."
Charlie Finding Nemo

You’ve recently put yourself forward as a mental health champion for Invevo’s team. Can you briefly discuss what your experience with mental health in the workplace and what it means for you?

I have always been an advocate for workplace culture. Especially in high output sectors, it's important to know that everyone is in the same boat and is pulling together in the same direction.

It's sometimes harder to share with family and friends, either because they are too close, or potentially wouldn't understand.

So I took it upon myself to take workplace-orientated Mental Health Courses in previous roles.

I have completed my FAA level 2 and Suicide Awareness training, with the goal of facilitating that role for my colleagues.

In your opinion, why is it important for businesses to have a mental health champion?

It is incredibly important for businesses to have a Mental Health Champion, as you may or may not need it now, but to simply know there is a dedicated resource to turn to in confidence who understands the role and requirements, but also someone who is simply there to listen and care, can be comforting for some, but a lifeline to others.

With Invevo's attitude to culture and a progressive sense of community it makes me extremely proud to be a part of this initiative.

How can Invevo colleagues support one another as they deal with high-pressure situations which can have an impact on mental health?

It's about staying close, with a family mentality whilst our company continues to grow. What we are building at Invevo is not colleagues, its community.

On Friday's we have a team lunch, regular social events and by always checking in on each other. It's only by knowing what people are like when everything's going great to be able to notice when it's not.

How do you ensure that mental health is not just a one-time focus but an ongoing priority for the company?

That's where the role of Mental Health Champion comes in, it creates a responsibility to uphold these values and promote them often and regularly. it's about being an outlet for the individual but the catalyst for the team. I look forward to demonstrating our continued sense of community and showcasing the events in the future, whilst always being there for those 1-to-1 confidential chats in or out of working hours.
